About us

Our story

Where strategy replaces silos and stewardship replaces guesswork—because true wealth isn’t built by isolated decisions, but by intentional design.

Trinity Tax Strategies was founded to solve a problem the financial industry quietly ignores: taxes are the single largest drag on wealth, yet they’re treated as an afterthought. Traditional firms operate in silos—CPAs focus on compliance, advisors focus on products, and no one is responsible for the full picture.

Trinity was built to change that. We architect integrated, proactive tax strategies for individuals and families facing complex financial decisions, bringing clarity, coordination, and long-term intention to every dollar they’ve built.

Meet the Founders

Trinity was built by hands-on leaders, not committees or corporations.Every client works within a firm led personally by its founders.

Founder & Chief Strategist
Enrolled Agent & Wealth Manager

Ryan Munoz is the founder of Trinity Tax Strategies. His work centers on a reality most high earners discover too late: wealth is rarely lost in a single mistake. It erodes when complex financial decisions are made without a governing structure. Once timing, structure, and sequencing are set, outcomes are no longer adjustable.

Before founding Trinity, Ryan operated at the family-office level, where his responsibility extended far beyond portfolios. He worked inside moments where decisions carried permanent consequences—business exits, M&A transactions, estate transitions, concentrated equity positions, and large liquidity events. In those environments, performance was secondary. What mattered was order: when decisions happened, how they were sequenced, and whether they were aligned before execution.

What became evident was not poor advice, but fragmented ownership. Transactions advanced faster than design. Tax entered the conversation after commitments were already made. Estate considerations trailed shifting balance sheets. Multiple professionals were involved, yet no one controlled the outcome as a whole.

Tax revealed itself as the missing control layer. Not as compliance, and not as a calculation, but as the force that shapes every financial decision. When tax is addressed upstream, legal, investment, and estate decisions align with precision. When it isn’t, value doesn’t vanish abruptly—it dissipates quietly and permanently.

Trinity Tax Strategies was built to operate in that upstream space. Ryan’s work focuses on designing decisions before they harden—before agreements are signed and consequences are locked in. This is not advisory in the traditional sense, and it is not product-driven. It is financial architecture.

Ryan works with individuals and families facing sustained complexity: ongoing high tax exposure, layered structures, and financial decisions whose impact compounds over decades. Trinity exists to bring cohesion where the system fragments, impose order where decisions are siloed, and ensure outcomes are intentionally designed rather than passively accepted.

At its core, this work is stewardship. Wealth carries responsibility. Precision, discipline, and foresight are not preferences at this level—they are requirements. Trinity exists to make sure they are present when it matters most.

Co-Founder & Director of Operations

Lissa co-founded Trinity to ensure that exceptional strategy is matched by exceptional execution.

After years of building systems, workflows, and operational infrastructure for business owners, she stepped into her role to architect the internal engine behind Trinity’s work. Her focus is simple but powerful: uncovering and correcting the structural tax problems that quietly erode wealth over a lifetime—and ensuring every client experiences clarity, precision, and confidence throughout the process.

Lissa oversees the operational ecosystem behind Trinity’s proprietary Tax Arcana Framework™—from the Diagnostic and Blueprint to Nexus and Enterprise—making sure each engagement is cohesive, proactive, and deeply relational. She leads workflow design, client onboarding, service delivery systems, documentation, and cross-team coordination with CPAs, attorneys, and advisors.

Where most firms look backward, Lissa helps Trinity stay decisively forward-looking. Her work ensures that strategy doesn’t live in theory—but is implemented with intention, education, and long-term stewardship.

At Trinity, she is the architect behind the scenes—building the structure that allows strategy to compound and relationships to endure.

Coordination Is the Advantage.

2018–2021

The work began at the table—alongside high-net-worth individuals as six-figure transactions and tax consequences unfolded week after week. During these years, our team was sharpened by exposure. We saw how investment decisions directly shaped capital gains, how timing and structure mattered more than returns alone, and how taxes were often treated as an afterthought rather than a design constraint. This period introduced us to tax planning not as theory, but as consequence.

2022–2024

In 2022, our work moved inside a family office environment. For the first time, tax, investments, legal, and estate decisions were coordinated intentionally. When the right professionals were aligned early, outcomes improved dramatically. True wealth management wasn’t about any single advisor, it was about orchestration. That experience clarified what worked, and just as importantly, what broke down when coordination was missing.

2025–Present

Today, despite the family office model, fragmentation still persists. Professionals remain siloed. Decisions are still made in isolation. Trinity was built to close that gap. Our team’s combined expertise allows us to understand, execute, and control the variables that matter, taxes, investments, and estate structure, within a single, coordinated system. The result is greater efficiency, fewer blind spots, and structures designed to hold up over time.

Our values

The Framework Behind Our Work

The discipline that guides every decision we make.
Built for complexity. Designed for long-term impact.

Stewardship Over Accumulation

We view wealth as a responsibility, not a scoreboard. Every strategy is designed to preserve capital, reduce unnecessary tax erosion, and support long-term legacy—not short-term wins.

Strategy Before Transactions

Real leverage happens before decisions are made. We design proactively—so exits, reallocations, and restructures are optimized long before tax consequences appear.

Integration Without Silos

Taxes, assets, entities, and estates are interconnected. Trinity eliminates fragmentation by architecting them as one cohesive, intentional system.

Precision Over Products

We don’t sell products or templates. Every strategy is custom-built around your exposure, structure, and future—not a firm’s inventory.

Clarity Through Education

Sophisticated strategies shouldn’t feel opaque. We ensure you understand how and why your plan works—so decisions are made with confidence and alignment.

Impact as the Only Metric

If we’re not meaningfully reducing lifetime taxes or protecting future wealth, the strategy doesn’t belong. Results—not reports—define success.

Who We’re Not For

Trinity Tax Strategies is intentionally selective—not because of exclusivity, but because the level of strategy we deliver only works for a certain kind of client.

Basic tax preparation or compliance-only filing

Our role begins where standard tax work ends. We don’t exist to calculate liabilities after decisions are already made.

Transactional or short-term tax reduction

Our strategies are designed to reduce lifetime tax exposure, not generate one-time savings.

Product-based recommendations or sales

We don’t sell investments, insurance, or financial products of any kind.

Templated plans or mass-market solutions

Every engagement is custom-built. If you’re looking for a standardized approach, we’re not the right firm.

Passive, hands-off advisory relationships

The most powerful outcomes are created through collaboration, education, and intentional decision-making.
